Bargains to Get and GIVE

So I have become obsessed with all of these great toy deals out there, but really .. my kids don't need any more toys!
So I have decided to use them to give this holiday season.
Each week, I am taking the boys, with coupons in tow, to buy 1-4 'great deal' toys. We are putting them in one box and I plan to donate them the first week of December to Toys for Tots or a similar organization.
Here is what we got last week:

Mr & Mrs Potato Head
FINAL COST: $3 FOR BOTH
[7.99 each: B1G1 free at Fred Meyer, used a $2 off coupon from coupons.com, also had $3 off any toy coupon from my FM rewards.]

Santa Claus Spuds Bud Mr. Potato Head
FINAL COST : .99 cents
[5.99 at Target, used a $5 off Spuds Bud Mr Potato Head from coupons.com]

Connect Four Travel Edition
FINAL COST: .49
[5.49 at Target, used a Connect Four coupon here]

Glade Candles Target Deal

Not sure if you are an avid reader of all these deal-blogs, but this is one that I just love.

I am not super-sold on the glade candles, but these will make great holiday gifts for a hostess, teacher, or even to put together with some other items as a donation basket for a silent auction.

Basically here is the deal:

At TARGET, when you purchase 5 holiday Glade products, you get a $5 gift card.

This week, glade candles, refills, etc, are $2.50 each
Use various Glade coupons:
Buy One Scented Oil Candle Holder, Get One Free
Other coupons, $1.50 off 2 candles, etc. at Right At Home
Some of the tins have $1.50 off coupons in them too.

So, you should end up, after coupons paying about $1.50 per item [based on 5 items] = $7.50
You get a $5 Target gift card back.
You submit a rebate for $5 from.

Sweet.

Keep your receipt and submit this $5 REBATE [SC Johnson]

Target TOY coupons and MORE

There are some great toy coupons for Target available:

http://www.organicgrocerydeals.com/forums/view.php?pg=coupon_generator

For those of you who don't know already, you can combine these WITH manufacturer coupons [for example, you can save even more on the TAG reading systems by going to the leapfrog.com site and printing out their coupon, too!], for great deals. The holidays will be here before you know it, so save money on something you would buy anyway.

OLD NAVY Summer Clearance

Heads-Up .. Old Navy [the one in the Dimond Center at least] is SUPER marking down adult summer.
50% off lowest clearance tag for women and men.
Shorts and tank tops in the front of the store are .97-1.97
There is a rack in the back of skirts [think of wearing them with leggings and boots for fall/winter] and they are all ringing up 1.97.

Go to:
www.oldnavyweekly.com/
to find a coupon for additional savings.

I used my old navy card, got an additional 10%, so all of the shorts and skirts were 1.77.

$20 cardi-coats at old navy‏

This week -- these are GREAT. I wear them instead of a coat during our Alaska 'fall' and the ones that have a belt and cinch are actually very flattering! ;)j

TOYS R US: Buy 2, Get 1 Free!

I just scored some great deals at Toys R Us on leapfrog items.

Most of their leapfrog items are Buy 2, Get 1 Free. [along with some other things, but these are the things I am stocking up on for presents]

Here is what I did:
B2G1 Leapfrog Tag Books, 15.99 each.
Bought 3, paid 31.98
Used 3 $3 off TAG book coupons here
There were some $4 off coupons, but I can not find the link online now.
Total price: 22.98, not as good as Target, but they had a better selection and it wasn't a drive.

Fridge Toys
B2G1 Fridge Recorder , on clearance for 12.50 each
Bought 3, paid $25
Used 3 $4 off any fridge toy coupon, again can't find this link now, but there should be a $3 off one on the above site.
Total price: $13 for 3 toys

I think these are also on clearance at target.

Just go on over to Restaurant.com, choose a $25 certificate of your choose and use promo code NINETY at checkout. Your final cost for each $25 certificate purchased will ONLY be $1!

Or for an even better deal, you can purchase the Dinner of the Month Club. What's that? It's a 12 month package that comes with 12 $25 gift certificates and one FREE $50 gift certificate! Ebates

We do a lot of online shopping in Alaska. Now, we have most of the stores, but not as much of a selection as the rest of the U.S. A few years ago a friends introduced me to ebates. It's FREE, cash-back shopping.

Basically, you go to the ebates site first, see if the store you are shopping from is there and then access the site from the ebates site. Then, if you complete a purchase, you get a 2-15% rebate from ebates. Ebates combines your rebates every quarter and either send you a check or puts it in your paypal account. This month I'm due $44.18, which is GREAT by me!

They've got most of the stores I buy stuff from: sephora, gap, zazzle, and even cabelas for Pete!
They also have the coupon codes for discounts on the shopping sites for additional savings.

Oh, and if people sign up and reference you, you get an additional $5 cash back.
So if you do, reference me: janenelson71@hotmail.com

Let me know if you try it out!

Great day, great deals

Not sure what my purpose will be here with this, but first wanted to pass along some great savings .. as many know, I could be a professional shopper! This week, I have already hit up office max for 1 cent spiral notebooks [3/customer], 10 cent rulers [3/customer] with my family. The 10 cent rulers were already sold out at the store on old seward. I like to get these and then I've got a cheap notebook in the car for Jack and Nic to draw in, and I can make some donations to either our school or local 'school supply' drives.

Later this week I plan to hit target for 88 cent drawing paper, and $4 multi-purpose printer paper. If you are in the market for a DS, target has them for $99 this week. That's the best price I've seen on them new.

Other places for 'deals': the abbott fred meyer has 60% clearance toys .. stock up for upcoming birthdays and even christmas!
