School Shopping GALORE!

Lots of great deals this week.
I found that the best one-stop shop for us was Target, but we will also be going to:
Office Max - 10 cent sharpie mini markers and highlighters (limit 3) & pencil sharpeners
Office Depot - 5 cent portfolios & pencil sharpeners, 75 cent sharpie highlighters, $1 (after rebate) HP multipurpose paper

Remember to print off your $1 off post-it sticky notes to score them for FREE at Target (this is a pdf file so you can pring more than one, but I usually only do 2 at a time): HERE\

And be sure to go to the Target website and check out their coupons. Lots of great ones and most can be combined with manufacturer's coupons, too!

Easter on sale at Target

All Easter stuff is on sale at Target.
50% off, it will likely go lower tomorrow or the next, from what I understand.

Some of the toy items are not specific to Easter, such as some My Little Pony's, Little Pet Shop and Matchbox cars. At the Target in southside a lot of the items are right up front in the dollar bins.

THINK AHEAD .. upcoming birthday gifts or even party favors!

Week of DEALS

BIG deals this week.

Thanks to AK Coupon Diva and Hip2Save, I've been getting some great deals, mostly at Target.

First, if you get a chance, check out Target and their CLEARANCE. Up here, the Target at Muldoon was doing the clearance an extra 30% off. That was on top of sweaters that were marked down to 5.98 and some even 2.98. Lots of stuff in kids, too!

Second, this week, at Target, these were what I found to be the best deals:

Special K bars are a deal, and I LOVE these. Buy 2, Get a FREE crisps. On top of this sale [they are 2.39 each], print off TWO $1 off coupons from the TARGET coupon site. Go to target.com and it is on the left hand menu, says 'coupons'. That makes it 2.80 for THREE boxes. Our Target did not have the fruit crisps so they substituted another box of bars for me.

Kashi cereal: I looked for a box with a peelie on it. The coupon was buy 2 products, get $3 off. I also printed a $.75 off kashi cold cereal coupon from the web site. Bought the box for 2.75, a small personal size kashi cereal for 1.17 and paid .17 after the 2 coupons.

Sobe Lifewater: I don't normally get these, but they are buy 10 for $10 and then get a $5 Target gift card. That makes them $.50 each. That's worth it to have them around or as a treat in the kids lunch boxes.

And finally, I am going to check this out tomorrow at COSTCO ...
Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller, I can't remember the price, I thought it was like $30 with a $7 off coupon in the COSTCO coupon book this month. Then, there is a $15 rebate for buying 2 here. I am going to see how much it is at the club tomorrow. Online it says 37.99 but I thought it was less at the club.

Anyone else find great deals out there? -jane

Bargains to Get and GIVE

So I have become obsessed with all of these great toy deals out there, but really .. my kids don't need any more toys!
So I have decided to use them to give this holiday season.
Each week, I am taking the boys, with coupons in tow, to buy 1-4 'great deal' toys. We are putting them in one box and I plan to donate them the first week of December to Toys for Tots or a similar organization.
Here is what we got last week:

Mr & Mrs Potato Head
FINAL COST: $3 FOR BOTH
[7.99 each: B1G1 free at Fred Meyer, used a $2 off coupon from coupons.com, also had $3 off any toy coupon from my FM rewards.]

Santa Claus Spuds Bud Mr. Potato Head
FINAL COST : .99 cents
[5.99 at Target, used a $5 off Spuds Bud Mr Potato Head from coupons.com]

Connect Four Travel Edition
FINAL COST: .49
[5.49 at Target, used a Connect Four coupon here]

Glade Candles Target Deal

Not sure if you are an avid reader of all these deal-blogs, but this is one that I just love.

I am not super-sold on the glade candles, but these will make great holiday gifts for a hostess, teacher, or even to put together with some other items as a donation basket for a silent auction.

Basically here is the deal:

At TARGET, when you purchase 5 holiday Glade products, you get a $5 gift card.

This week, glade candles, refills, etc, are $2.50 each
Use various Glade coupons:
Buy One Scented Oil Candle Holder, Get One Free
Other coupons, $1.50 off 2 candles, etc. at Right At Home
Some of the tins have $1.50 off coupons in them too.

So, you should end up, after coupons paying about $1.50 per item [based on 5 items] = $7.50
You get a $5 Target gift card back.
You submit a rebate for $5 from.

Sweet.

Keep your receipt and submit this $5 REBATE [SC Johnson]

Target TOY coupons and MORE

There are some great toy coupons for Target available:

http://www.organicgrocerydeals.com/forums/view.php?pg=coupon_generator

For those of you who don't know already, you can combine these WITH manufacturer coupons [for example, you can save even more on the TAG reading systems by going to the leapfrog.com site and printing out their coupon, too!], for great deals. The holidays will be here before you know it, so save money on something you would buy anyway.

OLD NAVY Summer Clearance

Heads-Up .. Old Navy [the one in the Dimond Center at least] is SUPER marking down adult summer.
50% off lowest clearance tag for women and men.
Shorts and tank tops in the front of the store are .97-1.97
There is a rack in the back of skirts [think of wearing them with leggings and boots for fall/winter] and they are all ringing up 1.97.

Go to:
www.oldnavyweekly.com/
to find a coupon for additional savings.

I used my old navy card, got an additional 10%, so all of the shorts and skirts were 1.77.
